I'd gladly skip that to see the actual game instead. And sorry, but turd-flinging is not an essential experience. The eroge crowd knows that their stupid introductory scenes are not good enough to force everyone through it, but this game it thinks it's above that. It really could take a note from a lot of modern "adult games" and add a "skip the boring prologue and get into the actual game" option to the start.
It doesn't trust the player to just get going and forces this dumb safe start on you. I also don't get the complaints about this game not being handholdy enough above.
I'm sure the game gets good at some point, but why bother? Too many games to play and as much as I like Daniel Vavra as a person, I am not going to suffer through bull like that just over personal sympathies. I hate games that have lengthy, unskippable tutorials and the entire beginning of the game is one of the most annoying examples of one.
Errand boy simulator would be a better name for the game. I didn't mind the save system, but that's because the prologue is the most boring crap I've ever seen. On other hand, how u play, u will find bucklet with water. maybe not in prologue, where u dont need that and where ur not supposed to fight against whole army of soldiers, but later. is possible that info about drawing sword accidentally disapear. thats probably what i really like on this game.ītw: tbh i didnt play KC:D last few patches. but game dont give u that option exactly and dont show u that. when someone cry about bug in quest with Kunesh, because he solve that quest in other way than he think is possible :-D i already write somewhere around example. when i go back to city, is better to get bath first and after that try sell "loot" - IRL when some dirty beggar come to your doors and try sell u something. lot of games dont allow u think and make things in your way). Maybe is this game too much demanding on thinking (dont get me wrong - many games isnt. its common sense, when ur dirty, ppl dont like u too much and u need bath. its ok, u get that hint when u get a weapon :) not in your first sword practice.Īnd yes, game dont say u exactly when ur dirty and "ur dirty, go take a bath, or wash at least a bit" this game dont hold your hands and dont tell u things like this. Nothing directly says to you "hey you're dirty go take a bath." At least nothing I'd seen.
I mean, I dont want to really argue about it, but no, in the initial combat tutorial, as pictured below, it literally does not mention "draw weapon" Īlso, the prompts teaching you that using a grindstone is how to clean blood off a weapon is only told to you when you go use a grindstone yourself for the first time, nothing directs you their as a method of dealing with the blood, same as washing, its only mentioned when you, yourself, with no prompting, when you first just happen to use a trough yourself, or wander into a bathhouse. in second playthru i see that in tutorial :) ) i was excited and then find few things in control setup. sometime with good game ppl miss info (me too. game tell u how u can wash yourself and why. game tell u that already at very begining - how u draw sword. Game also for instance never mentions how to wash cloths or yourself or your weapon until you figure it out on your own.īut other than a those and a few other fairly minor issues, game is epic. It's become such a problem that I found articles by 2 separate gaming sites mentioning that, and making fun of the games tutorials over it. I mean, the tutorials never actually even tell you which key to press to draw a weapon. But I will mention that I absolutely did also have to go out of game to lookup controls on the wiki or ign of what have you, because their are plenty of controls the game just never mentions, and you cant look them up.
